decatur city church office

April 17, 2015

"Nestled in a hallway nook." That's how I like to describe the location of this space.  This room is created by the junction of a pass-through from a hallway to a stairwell.  Hard to describe, but oddly enough, it's a beautiful, unique space with a wonderful view and lots of natural light. Untapped potential :)

The staff needed to turn it into home base for their team and create an open office+lounge.  We paired their modern eclectic taste with their brand colors of gray and gold to form the concept for the space.  Overall, we created 6 workspaces for the staff and a communal lounge spot in the center.

The first decision? Yellow column. It was begging to be a fun focal point of the room.

We kept the decor pretty simple in this space, but one of my favorite touches is the "art" over the sofa--- just a few sconces on the wall.  So easy to create!
